Is a workshop on the basics of Drag Kinging.

How to put together a performance

All levels welcome


This course will be run by Ken Vegas who has been a Drag King since 1996,
and Andy Roginous who has 7 years of Drag King Experience.

This will be a 3 hour course that will give all participants sufficient time to
learn about king history and develop a good understanding about how to
transform oneself into a Drag King!

We will discuss the history of Drag Kinging, character development, and teach you
the essentials of how to bind, pack, put on facial hair and how to do the KING walk.

If you have had experience being a Drag King or just are curious what it is all about,
this workshop is for you!

We will supply spirit gum, crepe hair, packing materials,
binders and info packets to help you on your way.

Participants should bring:
1.) Hair clippings from your next hair cut
2.) A suit or outfit that you want to try
3.) Man dress shoes or shoes that go with your outfit
4.) A pair of rolled up socks
*** 5.) Bring a camera to capture your transformation! ***

You can always just bring yourself if you don't where to start...
We encourage all to participate!
